Decided to grab a sandwich when I was out running errands. This place did NOT disappoint. I ordered The Stadium. The shop looks like a corner bodega. The staff is very friendly and attentive. If you want a SOLID sandwich in the area, look no further than Cornercopia. Literally NONE of the other sandwiches in the area compare. It's fresh and full of meat and veggies. Grab some snacks or drinks while you're there. Definitely recommend.
Cornucopia is my favorite go-to lunch spot for a delicious and hearty sandwich. It's typically busy during lunch, so I prefer to call in and pick up my order. Lately, I've been ordering the Georgetown but also enjoy the Greenline and the Spicy BLT.
Voted Best Deli in D.C. Well, I'm not sure they got that from any local awards. That's my own personal award, but it's true. Very quick. Terrific, friendly customer service. Huge sandwiches that are tasty and super fresh. Lots of great drinks and unique chips to choose from. We also catered from them for a business function, and it was some of the best catered sandwiches and veggies trays I've ever had. Only negative isn't their fault: it's really hard to find parking anywhere nearby.
My god their sandwiches are so fucking good. I come here pretty often and am always so impressed. Service is fast and food is incredible.
Do you want to drag your tongue along the mediocre menagerie of vegetables, cheeses, bread, sauces, and proteins known by the hitherto name of Subway, Quiznos, or Wawa? Of course not young scallywag! Rather visit this delectable bodega with mouthwatering sandwiches that'll leave you more satisfied than a desperate housewife after an afternoon with the Guatemalan gardener. My primary choice is the Greenline. A slightly sweet but very savory mix of pesto, Gouda, veggies, and balsamic on a sub. The flavors dance across your tongue exchanging glances and rhythms. Pair with a crisp pair of fried potatoes thinly sliced and seasoned with European Herbs de Continente and you have yourself a perfect lunch time oral delight. 5/5 FRESH PRINCE OF DC LUNCHES
Always amazing food, and a pretty good deal! They're super friendly, and I love that they have a lot of prepackaged sides to grab, chips, ginger chews, gummies, pickles, and a million beverage options. Highly recommend!
I have been a patron of this local sandwich establishment for approximately three months, and I must express my satisfaction with the culinary offerings. The sandwiches are notably delectable, featuring fresh and moist bread, flavorful meats that are not dry, and crisp, fresh vegetables. Among my top favorites are the Stadium and the Georgetown, both of which I particularly enjoy with a side of pickles. The menu also offers an array of snacks and beverages to complement the sandwich experience, including an enticing selection of international snacks and drinks that I occasionally indulge in. While the cashier has consistently been pleasant during my interactions, it is evident that she has established a rapport with regular customers, addressing them by name. Notably, the establishment lacks seating arrangements, as all orders are intended for takeout. Situated on a street corner without a designated parking lot, patrons driving to the location must seek street parking alternatives.
I didn't know what to eat in the Navy Yard area today. I knew I wanted a sandwich, but didn't want anything too heavy and greasy. I figured a chicken salad sandwich would hit the spot. I am so glad I searched on Yelp and found this amazing market. The Chicken salad sub was out of this world. It had some amazing flavors that were blended perfectly and the bread was just immaculately toasted to give it the right amount of crisp. I cannot believe I found this gem. What a time to be alive.
Since 2009, this corner market has sold to Navy Yard basic drink and food and 11 tasty sandwiches/subs. My go-to is the "Georgetown" made with turkey, lettuce, cranberries, and pesto garlic. It comes on a soft sun and it's so food!
Ordering was simple at the register. It's a small shop with some pantry items, snacks, and a variety of drinks. They have various sizes of Kim chee too, not sure if it's made in house, but looks like it. We came here for lunch and ordered the Jefferson. They did not have subs that day so I got mine on sourdough. Sandwiches are tasty. They're generous with ingredients. I appreciate that they don't put too much mayo in the sandwich. The sliced sourdough was soft with a crust that wasn't too tough, sometimes sourdough is hard to bite off or the crust is too hard. I enjoyed it. Will come back to try a different sandwich!
